The EFA Project updates the original Purdy Exploration Fabric and Basins maps of Africa within the context of a modern GIS. In addition to many new datasets (geology, structural framework, gravity-magnetics etc), the GIS will also include hyperlinks to seismic images, burial histories, DSDP and ODP data. Full searching of AAPG and associated publications based on country, basin and field names is also incorporated. Output from the GIS will include hardcopy maps, an interactive internet-browser map, Google Earth versions and PDFs
