Christine Purdy
Christine is an international NGO manager whose career began with 14 years at the World Bank, 1973 to 1986. After three years with UNDP in North Yemen, Christine went on to work with Patgroup International supporting projects in Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe. She was then appointed Field Director for Save the Children, working for three years each in Nepal and Sri Lanka before returning to the UK to take up the post of CEO, Brooke Hospital for Animals. Christine’s most recent position was CEO of the Multiple Sclerosis International Federation. In addition to paid positions, Christine has also held a number of voluntary roles for a wide range of charitable organizations, most recently as Chairman of Africa Now and Trustee of the Africa Rainforest Trust. Christine has a BA in Modern Languages and an MSc in Public Administration
